Rezeki ada di mana mana

Assalammualaikum

Yesterday I read about a Malaysian lady who made it in the US. She started from bottom and risen above all the challenges.

Alhamdulillah, happy for her. I've always believed that rezeki is everywhere and for everybody. A friend once asked me, should she migrate oversea? I told her, go by all means, if that's where your rezeki brings you, just go.

Just that, I'm a bit put off after reading the article in Malaymail. For all I know, those maybe the reporter's words and not hers.

Because there is another very positive version of the story. So probably it's the reporter who is keen on giving Malaysia and it's people a bad name.

For a start, we don't practice caste. There's no such thing as caste here. Whether you are from the upscale realm of the world or a homeless.

That mamak is considered as non bumiputra. Well, this one is weird. Reaaallllyyyyy weird. My dad's family hailed from Penang, so I do have family members who are of mamak descent. As far as I'm concern, it stated their race as Malay in their birth cert. Heck, one of my mamak cousin got into MCKK even.

Well, having said that, just because we are considered bumiputra, that doesn't mean we are spoon fed by the government. Or that we utilized the leverage we have as a bumiputra. Or our succeed because we have the upper hand as bumiputra.

My husband and I, we have been in financial business for more thana decade now. How time flies. Rest assured, we didn't get any privilege in this business. We paid for our licenses ourself, we funded our own training, pay our own bill. Nope we didn't get government money. It's really not necessary, really. There is no such thing as bumiputra allocation of investors. Or certain amount of policyholders must be given to bumiputra for us to care for and service.

I have a Kelantanese friend, whom, week by week, every weekend will fly in freshly prepared Kelantanese food, cooked in Kota Bharu, to us. Yep, the food are still warm when I get them. Does she  take any government grant to do this. Absolutely no. I'm so proud knowing her.

While some of us utilized all the specialties given, there are also those who succeed on their own.

Rezeki is everywhere, ready for anybody who are willing to work hard and really believe in rezeki yg halal. I've always believe that rezeki halal is everywhere, in abundance. You just need to reach out your hands for it.

Cerita org kaya

Saya ni dari keluarga sederhana , ayah skrg cikgu pencen, mak pulak dulu pembantu makmal yg skrg dah pencen. Tu la sikit background story.

First experience yg betul2 berbekas di hati ialah bila ikut my cousin beraya kat rumah belah my uncle. For me, rumah semi D, cantik pulak tu, org kaya la tu. Mula-mula pergi x faham apa sgt. Maklum la sekolah rendah lg, tau mkn, main pastu collect duit raya. Bila dah sekolah menengah dok ikut jugak lg beraya kadang kadang. Masa ni perasan dlm my sampul at least ada puluh2 ringgit every sampul. Back in the 90's puluh puluh ringgit ni kira banyak la ni. Overheard one of the aunties ckp kat my cousin "nanti masuk kolej byk pakai duit kan?", pastu dia bg satu sampul lain kat my cousin. Rupanya dia dapat ratus ratus ok.

Bila time ni, saya dah pandai persoal semua benda. Antaranya statement yg kalau kaya tu menipu la tu, kalau tak, takkan boleh kaya.

So masa tu terfikir, eh, takkan this family org jahat menipu kot. Dorg nampak baik2 je. Saya ni bukan blood relation pun, tapi dorg pemurah dgn saya. Dorg pemurah dgn student.

Lagi pun ustazah kat sekolah ajar, Allah itu maha pemurah, Allah itu maha adil, penyayang, yg suka memberi. Ustazah jugak ajar org berniaga tu rezeki 9 kali ganda.

So statement yg ckp org kaya tu menipu & jahat, mcm contradict semua yg ustazah ajar. Takkan kot.

Takkan jadi muslim yg jujur, beriman, beragama dll ni kena miskin, hidup susah?

Bukan ke Khalifah Umar tu kaya raya?

Ok, situ dah start berfikir, mcm tak tally je...

Second experience yg berkesan di hati, masa kerja IBM (aunty yg selalu bg duit raya byk tu jugak yg carikan) back in 2002. Masa tu gaji RM2000, sewa bilik kat taman tun psl tak sanggup pergi kerja 5.30 pagi, 9 pagi baru sampai IBM (naik bus-lrt-bus).

Saya ni pulak jenis suka simpan duit. So mmg suka berjimat. So bila ramadhan mcm skrg ni, housemate ajak pergi masjid taman tun, mmg on je la. First time pegi, masyaAllah byknye makanan. Macam2 lauk ada, semua sedap2. So masuk la slow2 dgn kawan2. Time berbuka org bagi kurma & air dulu, lepas solat maghrib baru mkn. Sedapnya makanan kat masjid ni. Bila tanya my friend, mana masjid ni dapat duit? Oh, ni semua org2 tmn tun ni yg bersedekah. Istighfar kejap, baiknya dorg. Bukan setakat bersedekah, tapi sedekah yg terbaik dorg mampu. Sayu je masa tu.

Habis terawikh, ada moreh pulak. Sambil2 mkn dgn housemates tu, ada sorg aunty ni bg kitorg lauk bungkus. Dia ckp "bujangkan? Ni bawak balik lauk ni. Ni bukan yg lebih2 org mkn tadi tau. Ni mmg dari periuk. Tak payah la masak utk sahur nanti" saya tgk je wajah aunty tu.

By this time, saya dah buat satu kesimpulan, there is such thing as good, honest, kind hearted rich people. Allah itu maha adil. And I'll strive to be one, insyaAllah
